GERALD WIENS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of husband, father and grandfather, Gerald Wiens, March 9, 2004 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 56. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife Pat; stepson Chris; son Shane and wife Lana; granddaughters, Kiara and Calista; brother Earl; sister Myrna, their families and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and first wife, Joyce. Gerald grew up near Steinbach on the family farm but went to work in Winnipeg in his early years. He spent many years on his route with Winnipeg Old Country Sausage and made many friends through his friendly nature. He had a gift for repairing mechanical things and was always ready to help a friend or stranger. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Winnipeg, on Saturday March 13 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Union Gospel Mission, 320 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3C7.
